Am I able to use my existing ductwork (forced air heat) to add central air conditioning to my home? I do have room for a new unit, but trying to add a second set of ductwork would be prohibitive...

  Are your ducts metal,l if so are they insulated? Is it a modern duct system? If it an older metal system, I have seen them with as much as a 60% loss in leakage. Get it evaluated before you take the plunge.
