Shakespeare is not necessarily for high school students. Many people continue to enjoy and appreciate his plays even after they are no longer studying them.

I know that I never saw a Shakespeare play while I was in high school (unless you count the movie Julius Caesar starring Marlon Brando), but I have since watched quite a few and enjoyed them.

"The time has come" the walrus said "to speak of many things. Of shoes and ships and sealing wax. Of cabbages and kings. And why the sea is boiling hot and whether pigs have wings."

No, never cared for Shakespeare. Probably blasphemy for a writer, but there it is. If I want to read something from that era I'll go for Alexandre Dumas, a far superior writer.

If a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, then that makes me a burning truck filled with TNT hurtling through a rocket fuel depot.

If I could see them, I would. I love reading Shakespeare.

YES! I watched Measure for Measure at the Old Globe Theater in San Diego and it blew my mind.

Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet (1954)

I like Shakespeare, although on an unrelated note, I do NOT think he wrote those plays - but I digress......

I have seen excerpts of his plays and quite frankly don't think I could sit thru a live production of an entire play..

THoroughly enjoyed Olivier's 1948 movie version of "Hamlet"......saw it when in jr. high and memorized many of the lines!!  So I much prefer the movie versions for some strange reason....

But again, he didn't write them!!!
