Are you concern at all about the Mayan predictions for the end of the world? Are you really concern about the 21st of December 2012? I don't really think anything is going to happen, but I will keep my eyes and ears open.

I am concerned, but not because I think it will be the end of the world. My concern is that I think it does predict a major change for the world. Whether for good or ill, who knows. An even larger concern is that I think a lot of people are going to act increasingly crazy as the date approaches, and I think that could be very bad.

If a little knowledge is a dangerous thing, then that makes me a burning truck filled with TNT hurtling through a rocket fuel depot.

The Mayans did not predict that the world will end in 2012.  The people who are trying to sell books predicted that.  In my 50+ years on earth, there have been several so-called prophecies of global disaster.  Last time I looked, we were still here.

I'd agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.
