Discuss Equus's answer to: Employment issues

I am an RN, working for a Home Health Agency, my employer has mandated that I work as home heath aide at a lesser rate of compensation, is that legal, I live in Indiana

The state of Indiana is a Employment At Will state .  Which means your employer can fire , hire , layoff , suspend , promote,  demote and set their own policies as they see fit .  This is not in violation of state law unless there is a collective bargaining agreement or an employee is discriminated again .  Discrimination falls under , sex , age , race, religion , disability and or national origin .
If you feel you are being discriminated against contact the EEOC .  Here is their web site , and contact information and an explanation of the discrimination by type .  Keep in mind the burden of proof is on the employee .  Good Luck !
