Emergency

My wife's blood sugar level reached over 400.  Nobody has told me what to do.  Call a doctor?  Take her to an emergency room?  What/

Emergency situations require emergency action.

First, don't sit on Yedda asking for advice. Call her doctor or health care provider's help line and ask what you should do.

Next, if you believe it's an urgent health care matter, go directly to an urgent care clinic or the nearest hospital emergency room.

Never use Yedda as a substitute for medical advice - especially not in situations where time may be of the essence.

Take her to the emergency room now.  The ER doctor will give her insulin injection to try to bring the blood glucose level down.  If she is currently on diabetic medication only, but is not yet on insulin, she most likely will need insulin from now on.

Sir,

  Stop whatever your doing ..and call for medical, or take her to the Emergency room.  When yout blood sugar gets that high, you can go into a sugar / Dibetic coma.  SEEK real help IMMEDIATELY!!!!

All the above answers are correct. If this ever happens again, straight to the ER.

I recently went to a new doctor and noticed he was located in something called the Professional Building. I felt better right away.
