Email Verification Fails

I've receieved two emails asking me to verify my account.  When I click on the link, it sends me to a page where I am to copy letters and numbers in a box.  I do so (and have repeatedly, now about 10 times!) and it sends me this message: 

Error - Service Temporarily Unavailable


We are sorry, but the image challenge process did not succeed. Please try again in a few minutes. Thanks for your cooperation, and we are sorry for any inconvenience.

I verified that the right letters and numbers (and no spaces) were copied, but that same message recurs.  Help?
