Email to flash drive

You can save email "on AOL" or "on my PC".  If you save it "on my PC" it goes into the Personal Filing Cabinet (PFC).  You can save the PFC as a file on a flash drive, and you can access the contents using AOL software.  The file is (yourScreenName) with no extension.  For Vista or Windows 7 it should be in C:\(hidden folder)Program Data\AOL\C_AOL Desktop 9.6\organize\ or similar, depending on your AOL version and how many installs you have done.  You should turn off Fast Start (in Settings, Startup) and exit AOL before copying, otherwise the file will be in use.

If you save the PFC with extension .pfc then you can access it from AOL menu File, Open.
