An electric bike as the main transport?

I don't have an electric bike but I would love to. I wonder if it's reliable enough to be used as the main transport though. What do you think?

modern electric bikes are quite reliable. To  rely on as your main transport would depend on how far you travel each day. If only a few miles, I would go for it. Cool

What is truth -

If you need a bike just for moving around the city I would never go with electric version because I like working out. But I do agree that this futristic version has its merrits.
