Perhaps you refer to the actress who played the leading lady in the 1960's sitcom, "I Dream of Genie," Barbara Eden, seen below in a publicity still.

As to the Garden of Eden, the best possibility is the area surrounding Lake Okavongo in Botswana. 

 

The Okavongo River is one of the very few that flow inland.  Even so it flows to the sea through a system of caves that prevent it from becoming as salty as the Dead Sea.

Even the Dead Sea seeps to the Mediterranean through assorted small channels, otherwise there would be no water in it at all, merely a huge salt flat such as that outside Salt Lake City -- Bonneville.

The Dead Sea is lower than the Med and a long way inland.

The Dead Sea is 1,300 feet below sea level at the surface and 2,300 feet below sea level at its deepest point.  Although fishes cannot live there, its immense mineral wealth cannot be underestimated. 

 

There is a network of salt tubes that lead from the Dead Sea to the Mediterranean which allow some of that supersaturated water to get to the ocean, although it moves very slowly.
