Discuss Dr. Kelly's answer to: Does eecp work for pulmonary hypertension

Enhanced External Counter Pulsation is an experimental, non-invasive technique using MAST (Military Anti Shock Trousers) to vigorously supplement one's natural cardiac contractions.  Supposedly it will releive angina pectoris, and will forestall the use of cardiac stents, etc.

During the 35-55 treatments, you will wear what amounts to a fighter pilot's Gee suit.  The compressor is hooked to an ECG which tells the pump when to squeeze and when to relax.

Most patients say that they get some help from it (I hope it isn't a placebo effect).

It is a very low cost procedure, but the jury is still out on its effectiveness.

Have you checked your medical benefits since Obamacare?
