My Boss screams at me daily and treats me ...

My Boss screams at me daily and treats me differently than my co-workers. I have asked her to please just talk that did not work. She Screams at me in front of my co-workers ETC. I do my Job I always do what is ask of me, Also, Im a Full-Time Employee I have been there 5 years, my Boss depending on her Mood that day will cut my Hours for Part-Time Employees hired way after me. I was hired in at Full-time. I have to call everyday to see what time my work needs me. For my Schdule I never know it Depends on who calls in that day. She may tell me to take the day off and then call me two hours later and tell me she needs me in 10 Minutes. Keep in Mind I'm the only one she treats this way. My own Co-workers have even came up to me and said why does she treat you that way? I haven't an Answer. But it Hurts me Emotionally when she Screams at me in the Work place instead of pulling me to the side and talking to me.She treats me like I'm her Property. It makes me very Anxious to think about my Job. It is very Depressing because I do like my Job I get Singled out and it very Obvious to Everyone. Doesn't feel good to be talked down to especially when your being Screamed at and Everyone around the Building can Hear. They come to me and say what happened? Why she Screaming now. Im to the point that I'm Emotionally hurt, Scared to go work. I never know her Mood but she has picked me to un-load on. And I take it because I need my Job. I'm notsure if it's my Race, my Age, or maybe she just doesn't like me. But she has Managed to Beat my Self-Esteem out of me, makes me Cry when she Screams at me. I ask her to stop she just looks at me. She actually treats me Differently. Also, she goes places outside the Work place with other Employees I'm never Included don't really care about that but even some off my Co-workers are Friends with her on a Level even they have Threatend to Beat me up. And that is Nice Words. By the way this is a Daycare so Children hear this as well. Always Yelling, Arguments, Tension, And I'm just Discriminated againist because I'm White that is the only Reasoning for the Abuse. I do my Job, take the Verbal Abuse have been for awhile not only from my Managers but from my Co-workers. What would you do if one of your Co-workers came up to you and said right in your Face in Front of the Children you take care of and say I'm going to SLAP your Face off? Needless to say I was stunned. I reported to the Manager the one who treats me like DIRT, she didn't handel it, so I called the Owner He didn't handel it so whats left. I'm a very Scared person who Loves her Job but Scared I'm going to be Beat up, or Scramed at I just never know. How would you Handel this? I can't quit I need my Job, we all know Jobs are hard to fine right now. It is a very Hostile work place, with a Manager that could careless and the Owner as well. Been working for him many years that is the Owner he doesn't even know my Name that sad. Any suggestions.

"By the way this is a Daycare so Children hear this as well. Always Yelling, Arguments, Tension, And I'm just Discriminated against because I'm White that is the only Reasoning for the Abuse....."

It appears to me you have a very strong legal case against both the mean boss and the owner!....You need to bring to work with you a voice activated tape recorder...maintain at least a week long recorded data of the abuse. Get witness statements preferably in writing to support  your claim of abuse.

Take note of the following:

  • Personal threats
  • Derogatory comments
  • Public humiliation
  • Intimidation tactics such as hovering or sneaking up to startle
  • Verbal abuse
  • Purposeful exclusion of others from meetings or discussions
  • Excessive demands, impossible deadlines or unreasonable requests
  • You will need to be active in your asserting your employee rights in the workplace ...it will not be easy...But, considering the fact  children are 'involved' at that workplace...I think you have a prominently  strong  case...more info to be found here:

What?....Who?...Me?... .....What'd I do?..... Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a piece of crap by the clean end.

If there is no hierarchy in place to whom you can make a complaint that will be taken seriously, I suggest you do the following: Contact an attorney and/or contact an investigative reporter.

Personally, I'd do both.

I realize times are hard and you need a job ~ but do you need one at the expense of your physical and emotional health? No one can take advantage of you if you refuse to let them.

Start documenting everything. Get a voice-activated micro recorder and keep it on your person. Keep a daily diary of what was said (when and by or to whom). Make note of which of your co-workers threaten you and which, if any, you can trust. Discreetly inquire of the childrens' parents to find out if any are aware of this situation. In short, build your case ~ with proof ~ and then blast the b**ch out of the water!
