what is Plato's view of education as outlined in "The Republic"
I don't specifically recall Plato's view of education in The Republic. It's been some years since I read it. I must not be alone, I see this question is one month old and nobody has tackled the question. What I do remember of Plato's views in The Republic is his emphasis on good leadership and honesty among the leaders in society. Because of his emphasis on the high quality that our leaders should offer and how they should be motivated to be honest and not self serving, I would assume that whatever he said on education would have been to suggest the importance of it, at least for the leaders in society. Now, I am curious too. Rob
