An anecdotal note is a brief observation that you want to remember to address at a later time.
Teachers use them as they observe students' work habits or presentations.
Say the teacher notices that Sally rushed through her report aloud to the class and didn't give any time for the details to sink in; she might make a note about this and afterwards let Sally know that she went too fast.
Hi,An anecdotal note is a note that is unique (short) event. Being unique means that this event is in some way differen, being: funny, strange, unusual, odd, outstanding, weird, different, touchy, ....... When one returns from a journey overseas one will usually tell those anecdotes as they might interest the others. Best regards,
Anecdotal notes include descriptions of events experienced that support what you are trying to accomplish (in a classroom; that usually includes what/how you handled a specific incident with a student).
