Discuss ElfStacy's answer to: Where did the Easter Bunny come from?

Where did the Easter Bunny come from? I can't see any connection to the Biblical story of Resurrection.

Bunnies have been associated with pagan spring festivals since ancient times because of their ability to reproduce so quickly. It is said that rabbits may have pulled the chariot of the Anglo-Saxon goddess of the dawn, named Easter. The first writings about an actual bunny that visited and left gifts are from Germany in the 1600's. It is purely a symbol of spring, but was incorporated into the Christian celebration of Jesus' resurrection which takes place in spring.
