If you have the master account in his name and yours is a separate screen name on the same account, you can't just delete his screen name.  If you don't have the password for his screen name you will have to call AOL and convince them (with a death certificate) that you have the right to have them give you a new password.  You can use the Spam settings to block mail from all senders.  You can also delete his new mail, old mail, and sent mail if you choose.  And you can delete his address book if you choose, or you could send mail to notify his contacts, or (if you don't block all mail) you could set an away message possibly giving your contact information.
