This is a really sad situation I know. I live in NC. Here If you surrender your pet at the local pound they will euthanise it for free.
Try to contact a rescue facility where they rescue abused or neglected animals and tell them your story, they should take it and put it to sleep for no charge. Rescue facilities also help people with there animals, and not just take them from people.
you asked for free euthanizing for dying pets? i wonder how many you have? when you say pets you mean more than one. hopefully by now your companion has died on its own rather than die with a lingering, painful death that no one wants. i remember this same question was presented about a month ago i suggested if the vet would allow you time to repay in installments but i do know many have balked off that since some don't ever get paid ... they are doctors i understand would you ask your own doctor to give you a discount? if it is fifty dollars maybe you can sell something in your home a tv a couch or something you have that isn't too close to your heart. maybe 5 friends or relatives can lend you ten dollars each. other than that i cannot think of another solution.
How many pets are there? Do you know why they are dying? I know it sounds bad and might sound in humane, but if you can't afford to euthanize them then maybe you should take care of it yourself or have someone else do it, if the reason they are dying is something that cannot be taken care of. I am sure if you contact a rescue place or a pound they will take the animals. I am not a cruel person, but if the animal is suffering it should be taken care of. Then after all this, maybe you shouldn't have any more animals until you can care for them.
I agree with your comment. I would try the local pound. If you have a vet, ask for help. If your pet is a certain pedigree, there are many groups (org) for specific breeds, and they are very nice and helpful. Good luck. Too bad they are so sick.
I am so very sorry to hear your loved one is so sick
I have been doing cat rescue for about 17 years off & on now
I have been put in this bad spot before
The best & the fastest way to say good by & let you pet rest is to take it to a local pound they should euthanise him or her for free
2 other options : find a emergency vet
or find a pet rescue org. that works on donations, they should be able to help you & the dollar or 2 if you have it will go a long way saving lives, that more then you can say about the H.S
Blessings & light to you & your freind

If you live near a veterinary university you could consider this. Relinquish your ownership to them. Let upcoming veterinary students learn from this case and others can benefit. The pet will be euthanized at no cost to you, but at least you contributed to pet healthcare.
