Hypergolic reactions do not need any catalyst: they can't help but react.  They react violently but they react in more than one way. 

Given: a hypergolic reaction of N(2)O(4) and NH(4)OH will proceed how?  Another hypergolic reaction might use the same oxidizer and C(6)H(12)O(6).

Please balance these two reactions and describe the thermal characteristics.

Once you understand hypergolic reactions, then let us move on to subgolic reactions.
