I personally like Carmex.  This seems to heal my lips fastest all seasons long.

Personally, I use homemade lip balms made with natural ingredients.  They are healthful for lips and come in a variety of natural flavors.  My favorite is French Vanilla!  Yummy!  I found them at:  http://www.natural-goat-milk-soap.com/homemade-lip-balm.html

One can apply lip balm or petroleum jelly as useful remedy for treating the condition.
