I had a horrible dream that left me crying and shaking for hours after waking. I dreamt that my baby (18 mos old) drown in the ocean. She had on her little white sweater and was just floating there. I grabbed her out of the water and she was lifeless and blue. I kept screaming for help and people looked at me like I was crazy.     Everytime I close my eyes now, I'm sitting there with her on my lap. I can't sleep!!!!

Carrie,

Everyone has scary dreams sometimes.  They are just dreams.

Don't torture yourself with it.Innocent

Be honest and be true to yourself.

Hello Carrie,

I hope I can help relieve some of your distress. I have had years of experiences with dreams and have learnt that there is more than one type of dream. The types of dreams we have depend greatly on who we are and the conditions our environment present to us.

Do you live near the beach? Did you hear or see anything to do with drowning the previous day or week which your subconscious could have returned to you in this form? Is there an issue with your child which is overwhelming you to the extent that you feel as if you are drowning in worry?

Sometimes the object of attention in our dreams is a representation of our selves. Could there be something happening in your life which you are concerned about that you may have forgotten about or is there someone in your life placing too much responsibility on you and this is making you feel as if you are drowning?

The white sweater represents innocence which if you think about it makes sense given that a baby is wearing it. The blue colour may represent depression or simply a representation of what happens during a drowning.

Contact me personally at shbromley@yahoo.com.au if I can help further with advice on this area. I will get back to you as soon as possible. I use a public library so this could be as as two weeks.

Dont worry too much and take it easy, everything will be finw if you keep a cool head.

All the best.

Who do you think we are? Truth & Trust; Fear & Trepidation We insist on the former, yet we gravitate toward alienation.

Hi Carrie,

I am someone who has interpreted dreams for over 30 years. Here is what I think this is see if it fits... You have a worry about your baby. It might not necessarily be about her health... there might be a situation where you think she might be taken away from you... or you think that... Also I think... you think that others would not or do not worry about this concern you have... you are the only one who takes this situation seriously. You might have shared it with others and they just did not think it was serious or you have not shared it with others but you think if you did they would not take you seriously.

Knowing this only gives you the opportunity to look at it objectively and handle it differently inspite of your emotions.

Thank you for reading. If you have any questions you can write back.
