What is the best dps class in wow cataclysm?

alright so i haven't played wow since patch 3.3.5 in wotlk and im gonna start playin wow again but first i wanted to know what is the strongest dps class in cata. i know there is no such thing as the strongest dps class but there is always the class who is first on recount. in wotlk it was mage,hunter,pally, and sometimes death knights. what about cataclysm?

I hate to say this, but no class is really highest DPS. As long as you know your rotations and specialize correctly and get good gear, you can top the line every time. That said, I would go for a warlock for PvP (because they are the easiest to level up and really hurt people easily) and Death Knights for soloing because now they can live (almost) forever if you specialize your defenses right (in blood) and frost is a very effective specialization for death knights also.
