Double vision

Sometimes(but rarely) distant objects become double.  In other words double vision.  But when I inhale tobbaco smoke I immediately get a double vision experience of distant objects.  I have quit smoking now but it has happened enough times that I know smoking induced that double vision.  Is it the carbon monoxide or what that causes it.  Ive had many tests done(MRI, Ultra Sound, etc.) but nothing gives any information on what it might be.  Anyone else experiece this?

Go to Upper Cervical Health Centers of America and have your neck checked for atlas and axis alignment

This is normally caused by blood pressure changes causing a weakness in your eye muscles (in the lenses and those surrouning the eye) to be highlighted. In people with healthy eyes various things can cause the eyeballs to lose focus and become distorted but the eye adjusts using a variety of muscles and tendons within and outside the eye ball.

If you have a weakness in any of these it can become pronounced when they are under stress.

The best cure for this is eye exercises. An article I came across may prove useful:
