I have a 1 year old Rottweiler and he has been having seizures for quite some time. Most of the time he can come out of a seizure and be fine, but 2 days ago he had a seizure that I believe may have caused irreversible damage. Unfortunately, I can not afford to have him treated, and I know he is suffering. Right now, he does not even know who I am and that is not like him. He is not eating and his body appears to be shaking in spasms. My children and I love him dearly and we are so afraid of him being in pain. We do not want to see him suffer. What can I do to help him.

a i yearold rottweiler having seizures seems to young to me my dog was 13 and he wokeup one day having a seizure i took him to the doctor and he gave him seizure meds unfortunately he died but not from the seizures he was old we think he probably had a brain tumor but we couldnt afford to get it operated on.maybe you should see if he was exposed to some pesticide you know when you get ur lawn treated i heard some dogs can get reactions with the pesticide 1 years old seems to young for seizures if the seizures came on all of a sudden than maybe something triggered it

Seizures can occur at any age. However, he needs to see a vet, have tests and b e put on medication or whatever. If you can't afford this, you need to have him humanely put to sleep so he doesn't suffer. You can appeal to your local rottweiler rescue group to see if they have funds to help with the finances.
