I just got a dog. looking for a nice name for it. what would you recommend?

what are the considerations? short? easy to pronounce? special sounds dogs like?

Just looking at the pic (Assuming this is the pup you want to name) the first thing that came to my mind was "Laredo", I couldn't tell you why, LOL.

Most dogs like names that end in a "ee" sound like Petey.  Do try to keep it short.

That said, I have always thought "Wocket" (from the Dr. Seuss classic, "There's a Wocket in my Pocket") would make a great dog name, particularly if you have kids who know and love the book.

A name is something very individual, I can tell that from my experience with dogs (almost 30 years....:)) the name came up in the first second I saw it....

May I propose you do the same, and go after the 1st name you had in mind :)
