Please view this similar question (http://yedda.com/questions/8625547371912/) and another thing , do not try to make him feel better with human food ( no soup for you ! ), it can actually make it worse.

I would never take the risk of giving my dogs anything, without asking my veterinarian first. What you think may be a cold, may be something totally different. Giving it something you think might help, may make you unintentionally do more harm than good. Your best bet is to take it to the vet and have it checked and treated. I hope your baby feels better soon!

Yeah, I would not try and make your dog feel better with human food either. They need food that will not upset their stomachs. this is a question that is better suited for your Vet, or if that is not an option, i would go to a dog website and post the Q in the forums.
