Why does my dog poop and pea in the house a lot of ...

Kisswhy does my dog poop and pea in the house a lot of the time. She is an older dog and I got her from a rescue. But don't understand the behavior. She is outside a lot.I leave her out for 30 mins. or more then she comes in the house and with in the hr. She has done pea or poop or both. HELP !

Since it's an older dog, there could be a medical reason as to why your dog pees and poops in the house.  The first thing to do is to take the dog in for a complete checkup and blood work. You may have to retrain your dog also.  30 minutes after eating, take her outside and walk her.  Just leaving her outside is not a good thing to do, plus, you won't be able to monitor as to when she pees and poops.

I would think that you express displeasure when  your doggie excretes on your rugs. When you are outside with her, you can praise her and give her a skritch.
