Dodge truck cruise control problem...

while going up and down hills, in and out of cruise....truck suddenly accellerated and would not slow down.  rpms went into red.  used both feet on brake to try to slow truck down.  hit 'cancel' and 'off' on cc but truck kept going faster.  never happened before.
