my 98 dodge durango back tires lock up..at times when i step on gas peddle it will be hard to go and the back of car will suddenly move to one side..what is that?? does any one know?? thanks

Yeah, or could be a busted u-joint which would be a heckuva lot cheaper than an axle. I had similar problems on a 90 suburban and paid over a grand for a junkyard axle installation.

Sounds more like anti lock up brakes gone bad  not u joints
