I'm trying to document the site of the grave of a Revolutionary War veteran by the name of James Denman that died in Georgia around 1840. Where is his grave?
Joan, have you tried ancestry.com ? Also wherever he was they must have Historical Societies that have a lot of information. If you find other members at ancestry who have the same last name they sometimes have info they found while searching for their family. Also Genweb has a surname board you can check.
This might help you out: http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gsr&GSfn=James&GSmn=&GSln=Denman&GSbyrel=all&GSby=&GSdyrel=all&GSdy=&GScntry=0&GSst=0&GSgrid=&df=all&GSob=n
