A small, black, hairy spider with a yellow spot on the back found around outside doorways in in the mulch and roses in our garden....what kind is it, and it is dangerous? Thank you

I found one inside my house (close to the back door).  I did a google search and it "sounds" like it is a jumping spider.  I guess some can bite - but overall they're not anything to be concerned about.  I'm still going to search a bit more.   I know this doesn't really help - but since your question has been sitting out here for a month - I thought I'd give it a shot since I'm also curious.
