What side of a double sink does a garbage disposal get installed

Mine is on the left.  I don't think it really matters as long as there is room for the drain pipes to fit.  It's just a convention, like the sprayer being on the right side of the sink.

That would be the left side.

Most I've seen are on the left, but I assume you can install it wherever you want as long as it fits.
