We are building in a section our patio which the ...

We are building in a section our patio which the flooring is made of 2x6 with 5/8 gaps between each board. It is impossible to get under the portion of the patio being build in to put insulation between the joist. How can we insulate the floor before putting the underlayment, and installing the flooring? sherry_somers_618@comcast.net

I would suggest that you tear out a few of the decking boards to access the area below and insulate. There really aren't that many other options.
