I would definately NOT take the glass doors off.  On my slider there is an adjustment screw.

Check the very bottom of the door and see if the is a round dial with a slit in the middle.  use a screwdriver or a knife and turn it a bit and see if that changes the tension on the door.

If it's an Anderson or similar unit the inside of the top track is removeable. There are screws visible under the track remove them, tip the door in and lift up. If it's an aluminum slider just lift the sliding door up and tip the bottom in.

All glass patio doors that I've ever seen come off the tracks quite easily . HOW else would you ever be able to replace the rollers ? Most can be lifted about 1/4 " with a crowbar, then use a flat screwdriver to raise the rollers over the track, one at a time. I do it regularly to replace or clean rollers.  (- The first answer here is just an amateur, and the second is talking about a shower door unit ! ) Cool
