I think that anybody who claims they can effectively treat medical conditions needs to present clinical proof that substantiates their claims. This should apply to conventional medicine, nutritional products, holistic/homeopathic practitioners, religious groups, etc. For too long, people who are victims of illness have been bamboozled by charlatans.
