In fact we rarely use pure Aluminum, we use it as alloys. There are many possible alloys, different in their properties (mechanical, physical, electrical, etc). Some can be heat treated and some not. Heat treatment or mechanical strengthening can change the properties and the machinability. However. in general it is relatively easy to machine aluminun alloys and it does nor require speciqal tools.
