Should there be a difference in bible study format and sunday worship experience?

Yes, I think so. Because one is for study and the other is for worship/praise. Study vs worship. And I also think the preacher should preach a sermon in a way that will encourage people to want to study more.

The Homily should reflect the readings of the day.       Citing events in our daily lives that can aid the listener in remembering a particular event in the life of Christ.

Yes.  A Bible study consist of questions and answers.  It should be a breakdown of the Bible for better understanding.  The worship message is a time for reflection and praise.
