Absolutely.  Women, blacks, and gays all won what freedoms they now enjoy from demonstrating.  Workers won decent work conditions, a two day weekend, and other safety issues they were denied at one time.

Shame people have riot to get what they need. The Revolutionary War was an armed protest against England's heavy hand on the colonies. The Red Coats lost. Those Red Coats must of been easy to spot in the fall when things were not as green and lush as the summer!
