Is there a demand for Medical Assistants

Is there a damand for Medical Assistants, entry level?  I recently graduated with high honors, yet there do not seem to be any opportunities without 2-5 years experience.

First of all a medical assistant can not prescribe they are nurse assistants. you must mean a Nurse practioner or physician assistant, yes they can write a script but they have to be approved by the MD that oversees them. They are as acountable as any other medical professional for malpractice.
