How can I deal with my thick hair??

When you get older and all your friends are bald, they will envy your hair. Trust me. For now, the best thing to do is keep it short and tight. Don't thin it.

If it's dry, avoid heat styling since that can further dry out your hair. Use a good conditioner or a 2-in-1 shampoo & conditioner and consider deep conditioning your hair once or twice a month.

A good stylist may be able to suggest a hairstyle that is both appealing and easy to maintain; some stylists will do consults at no charge if you want to look into that. Do NOT let a stylist give you a new style without knowing what she or he intends to do or else you may wind up wishing you were actually bald. Good luck!

There are several styling products to use that will help with your problem but never use a blow dryer it only adds to the poofiness. A professional stylist may be able to give you ideas. If I dry mine hair I look like Wolfman Jack or Horshack only longer. I have it layered with a perm now and it works with hair products.
