This is in response to the inquiry you submitted on February 4, 2009 to the Department of Veterans Affairs. It is your decision how you would like for us to address you. A veteran is a person who served in the active military, naval or air service and who was discharged under conditions other than dishonorable.
You do not need to be receiving benefits to be considered a Veteran.
