It appears that this pea shooter could scratch the paint on a very tough thing.

I will stand with you about chiles, but as I drink only a sip of communion wine every week, I will pass on the cervesa.  Still the gun looks like it could knock holes in an armored personnel carrier.  What do you need that big a gun for?  Anything you hit with it would be splattered all over the map.

You would have to ask my friend, Bubba as to the purpose of possession. It could be related to the fact that he is a card carryin', gun-totin' red neck. And while Bubba drinks, or at least claims to, I do not.

Perhaps I should have a talk with Bubba inasmuch as he forgot to sign this post. Altho all of us were absent for a spell, I was thinking that he was well enuf known around these parts that he would not have to go back and add his name.

Very true, Ol' Yeddar.  Many of us listened to Obama's lies and forgot that they were barefaced, self-serving lies, one and all. 

Had these people been actively thinking, they would have realized what those lies and those liars would cost them.  The damage is irreparable, but faith gives us hope that despite all appearances, we can repair what Obama did out of his intense hatred for us all and his clear cut motive to lie.

Obama has certainly fed us a long and growing string of outright lies.  Do you remember his promise of outright full tax exemption for all families bringing in less than $250,000.00 per person per year? 

My 2011 tax return hit my family harder than any tax bill since Clinton.  And considering the way Clinton aggressively persecuted veterans and wrecked the economy, it is difficult to forgive the sheer disloyalty of Democrats.

The claim: President Barack Obama lowered taxes, and they are now lower than under Presidents Ronald Reagan and Bill Clinton.

The background: Obama said during the question-and-answer portion of his Reno stop Thursday, “How many people here know that not only did we cut your taxes when I first came into office, but back in December we just cut your taxes again? ...

“Taxes are lower now than they have been in a generation. Taxes are a lot lower now than they were under Ronald Reagan. They’re lower than they were under Bill Clinton. They’re lower than they were under George Bush, in many cases.

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act — the so-called “stimulus act” passed in 2009 — contained $237 billion in tax cuts for individuals and $51 billion for businesses. This included a payroll tax credit of $116 billion for those earning less than $75,000.

Workers paid a little less each week in their payroll taxes, which may be why they didn’t notice the extra money like they did when stimulus checks were sent out under President George W. Bush. A New York Times/CBS News poll last fall found that fewer than 10 percent of people knew that taxes had been lowered.

The nonpartisan Tax Policy Center estimated that the cuts saved 97 percent of U.S. households an average of $1,179 in 2009, and the program was extended in 2010.

The budget compromise with Republicans at the end of last year also ended up meaning lower taxes for most — about 80 percent of taxpayers, according to the Tax Policy Center.

Are they lower than under Reagan and Clinton, though?

The Tax Policy Center last week released an analysis called “Historical Federal Income Tax Rates for a Family of Four.”

It looked at the average income tax rate based on the median income for a family of four from 1955 through 2010.

The average income tax rate under Reagan in 1983 was 11.06 percent. Under Clinton in 1992, it was 9.18 percent. And under Obama in 2010, it was 4.68 percent.

The verdict: For most Americans, taxes were lowered through the stimulus package passed in 2009 and extended to 2010, and they were also lowered in the tax compromise between Obama and Republicans. Current rates are at historic lows compared with ones from 1955 — when the numbers started being tracked — through 2007.
