Dakota is a Native American word.  The Sioux are often referred to as Dakota.  The western groups prefer to be known as Lakota.

There is no meaning in Hebrew to "Dakota".

Dakota in Sioux means friend or ally.  But there is a Dodge Dakota, and a Dakota apartment building in New York, and other possible uses of the word.
