Curiosity not allowed here

Want to be attacked and called a criminal, have your sanity questioned and be called numerous unflattering names by a bunch of supposed "Christians"? Then simply ask "where does God come from" and watch how un-Christianly you are treated. Apparently, those "in the know" have determined that curiosity is one of the 7 deadly sins and needs to be snuffed out. Can you say HYPOCRITES?

Ok, that's great. Now explain why curiosity is apparently forbidden?

Ok, so we should just stay in the dark ages. You do realize without curiosity the human race would still be grunting, living in caves. There would be no wheel, no fire, no medicine, no language. And without language there would be no religion.

So once again, tell me why curiosity is forbidden.

I must agree. At least it is not allowed if it pushes one in a direction that one does not wish to go.

As my friend Bubba likes to say, jus' cuz a cat has kittens in an oven, don't mean they're biscuits. Claiming to be a Christian does not make a person one. There is an old song, They Will Know We Are Christians By Our Love. There were a couple that preceded this, one of particular note was They Better Believe We Are Christians When We Tell Then To Stick It Up Their Ass received some air time before a particular poster's ancestor's stormed the bard station and burned it to the ground, resulting in the loss of the one and only copy. So sad!

Atheism and Theism in all is forms are both founded on faith.

Keep close to Nature's heart... climb a mountain or spend a week in the woods. Wash your spirit clean.* Victims of circumstance owe it to fate. Victims of choice owe it to themselves.*One of the widest gaps in human experience is the gap between what we say we want to be and our willingness to discipline ourselves to get there.

No faith is required for atheism which simply means "without god". For example, a person that has never heard of Zeus or any other gods can be described as an atheist. No faith required.

Anonymous Question, The ones who cannot tolerate curiosity are not strong enough to encounter  it themselves.  The live under the thought of fear.  They do not feel they can trust God enough to allow themselves to be who they truthfully are, curious humans.

These people have remained immature in their thinking, and until they grow spiritually enough to allow themselves and others to be curious, they should be ignored.  However...I understand how difficult that is to do.

Don't let anyone ever stop you from expressing your own mind and heart.  God is the one in charge here, not the ones who cannot allow original thought or curiosity.  That is why I say "Thank God for Atheists," at least they force us to think for ourselves.  Ask away AQ....we are not all narrow-minded.
