How do you get a crust on a grilled steak?

What crust are we talking about here? If you are referring to a well done steak than just leave it a few minutes longer on a grill. Just make sure you turn the fire down a bit not to scorch it completely into oblivion.

I like to marinate my steaks and then press a mixture of cracked pepper corns and spices into the meat. Then, I cook it on my portable grill, but you could use any cooking method to cook. When the steak is done, the outside has a nice, crispy crust on it.
