Are cremations really done in groups of 3?  I was told that crematories will not cremate a body unless they have at least 3 to do in a row.  Has anyone heard this before?

I won't say that it has never happened, considering the high amount of heat that needs to be generated to fully cremate a body, but...

Modern cremation chambers are not designed to accept more than one body, mainly because it is illegal in most places to cremate more than one person at a time.  The only exception is a mother and her still born child or twins may be cremated together.

I'd agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.
