Dear Lita,

I have asked many people their advice on my situation, but they all seem to close to me to be realistic.  All of my bills are taken care of every month and I only have one credit card, however, that was before my 4 month life in Texas with my ex-fiancee.  When I moved to Texas from Ohio I just graduated from college and was ready to start my life.  My ex and I got a place together next to the base he was stationed at and filled it with beautiful new furniture and a huge new TV.  Since his previous marriage left him with poor credit we put everything under my name with him as a cosigner. Well, he was suffering from PTSD and it was detrimental to my safety to move back to Ohio.  He assured me that he would pay for the furniture and TV and that he still wanted to be with me.  I didn't have the means to take the furniture with me and he would become very angry when I insisted that I take it.  Now it has been a year to this day that I came back and he has not paid on anything.  I get phone calls everyday a few times a day from the furniture company and bills in the mail for the TV.  I beg him to let me have the furniture but he never returns my calls or texts.  How can I take care of this situation?  I don't want to pay on things that I don't have and he does, but I don't want my credit to keep suffering.
