No i would not file for bankrupscty as there are to many implied clauses in it as you must file on everything you own and that will drag you and your husbands credit down as you will not be able to get any credit for the next 7 years that is the both of you. As the law will tell you that you must include everything in it that also includes but not limited to all the 2 of you own. Your first mintake was being a cosigner as that hurt you 1st of all now to your medical bills talk to whom you owe and see if you can make arrangements to pay them. But for bankrupscty only on your bills i dont think that can be done as this will hurt your husbands credit also if i may suggest you contact a good attorney who deals in that type of law as most bankrupscty will be on everything you own joint and or single credit. As most couples have joint credit and that will include everything you own. Also remember you both will have no credit for 7 years them the amount of time required to rebuild your credit. And no dont call a credit card dept repair company as it will be the same as bankrupscty but it also affects all credit you have jointly so dont fall for there line of BS have also tried that then what credit you have will be on a default rate so try to pay off what you have.

Equal justice for All The law works but the system needs changed, We all abide by the law but sometime it failes us. The same with the goverment. God bless the USA, Brign our troops HOME safely, To the men who did not get the credit they deserve, MAY GOD WATCH OVER OUR SERVICE MEN.
