I was recently drug tested and my creatinine result was 81.4 mg/dL. What does this mean?
Creatinine is a waste product, which is produced after you use your muscles. Creatinine moves from your muscles into your blood Then, your blood is filtered by your kidneys and the creatinine leaves your body in your urine. A normal creatinine level in your urine would be 27 to 260 mg/dl. If you took a blood test, the normal level of creatinine in the blood of a woman would be 0.5 to 1.1 mg/dl and the normal level of creatinine in the blood of a man would be 0.6 to 1.2 mg/dl. If you have a very high creatinine level in your blood, this could signal a problem with your kidneys because your kidneys are not functioning properly to filter out the creatinine from your blood.
