Most likely the tomato has a mineral that your currently lacking within your system (either depleating through time or sudden loss).. My mom couldn't stand cantalope for the major part of her life then one day she took a small bite (saying she suddenly thought the aroma was enticing) and afterward couldn't get enough of them (literally creating a small garden in her back yard to keep a supply).. Asking her doctor why this had occurred he said what I repeated above.
