Have a crate 4.0 motor for a 2001 jeep grand cherokee. What is the proceedure when installing the sensor plung that goes where distributor hole is at? It does not have a distributor, it has coils. Does it self time atuomatic. Please give some advice. thanks
It will have to be timed. If old engine still turns over put it in TDC#1 cylinder and see where it points and do the same to new engine. the 4.0L engine has a crank sensor on the flywheel and the cam sensor is in the distributor.
