I fell so hard on my left side rib cage that I could not breath for a moment. It hurts to deep breath, cough, laugh, sneeze, bend, cant lay on that side, driving, sitting, tender to touch, etc. BUT my skin is not bruised! I am wondering if it is possible to have cracked a rib even if my skin does not show signs of bruising. Thank You, all advice would be greatly appreciated!

You may well have broken a rib and if the impact was spread over a large area, this could easily happen without bruising or other exterior indication.

It would be a good idea to see your doctor, as a broken rib an potentially puncture a lung.
